I will disclose that I have been using OraMD® myself on a daily basis since early 2008 and therefore feel qualified to present this OraMD Review drawing on my personal experience with this product.
What Does OraMD® Claim It Can Do ?
OraMD claims it will destroy the bad bacteria in your mouth and the benefits from this will include the following:
. .A) It will completely stop bad breath.
. . B) It will halt and reverse gum disease (Gingivitis, Periodontitis etc.)
. . C) It helps in the regrowth of Receding Gums (caused by gum disease)
. . D) It can stop gums bleeding.
. . E) It will reduce swollen and painful gums.
. . F) It will reduce the occurence of Canker Sores by 70%.
OraMD claims it’s a healthy and natural toothpaste replacement product. It’s also described as a more effective and beneficial mouthwash than regular well known mouthwash products.
It is suggested that OraMD cleans teeth extremely well, leaving them feeling very smooth. It also reportedly reduces plaque build-up requiring fewer visits to the dentist – and hence saving dental costs. And finally – it is “one of the best preventative systems available to guard your teeth”.
That’s quite a set of claims!
Let’s examine the facts to see if any of this is true.
“To Properly Answer the Question – (“Are the claims made by OraMD fair and reasonable ?”) – I Must First Briefly Explain What Causes Bad Breath and Gum Disease and Also Describe the Symptoms”
“What Causes Bad Breath ?”
Bad breath can be caused by a number of things – but in most cases it’s down to the bacteria that live in the human mouth. This has little to do with cleanliness or how many times you floss your teeth – the fact is, that the bacteria is present in all of our mouths.
Oral bacteria feeds off tiny food particles it finds around your mouth. It excretes foul-smelling waste products back into your mouth and it’s this sulfurous waste that causes a sour taste and bad smell on the breath (Halitosis).
“What Causes Gum Disease ?”
The same oral bacteria that causes bad breath is also responsible for gum disease, which can surprisingly be quite dangerous. The bacteria continuously coats your teeth in a sticky layer that turns to tartar. The tartar hardens to become plaque. And this is what your dental hygenist chips away each time you go for a check-up at the dentist’s surgery.

“That’s Not Particularly Cheap – What Do I Get For My Money ?”
If you use a standard bottle of OraMD – according to the manufacturers instructions – this should last for approximately three months for one user.
